Parent/Child Aquatics
1. Parent/Child Aquatics Level 1: Children ages 6 months to
3 years old. The purpose is to familiarize young children with water and get
them comfortable in the pool. Parents will be in the pool with their children.
Preschool Aquatics
1. Preschool Aquatics Level 1: Usually kids about age 4 or 5
who don’t have very much experience in water. Kids will learn basic skills such
as; blowing bubbles, various floats, front and back glide, how to stay safe in
the water, and such. The main purpose is to get them comfortable in the water.
2. Preschool Aquatics Level 2: Builds on basic skills
learned in level 1.
3. Preschool Aquatics Level 3: Builds on basic skills
learned in levels 1 & 2
(Because of
small class sizes, I anticipate students will likely move through at least 2 levels in one 8 lesson
session)
Learn to Swim
1. Learn to Swim Level 1: Usually kids about 6 years old who
may or may not have experience in the water. Kids will learn basic skills such
as; blowing bubbles, various floats, front and back glide, how to stay safe in
the water, and such. The main purpose is to get them comfortable in the water.
2. Learn to Swim Level 2: Builds on basic skills learned in
level 1, at this point kids will start to explore movement through water but
not really any defined strokes.
3. Learn to Swim Level 3: Students will begin to learn basic
strokes and continue to build on skills from previous levels.
4. Learn to Swim Level 4: Students will refine strokes and
learn more complex skills.
5. Learn to Swim Level 5: Student wills continue to refine
strokes and build on skills from level 4.
(Because of
small class sizes, I anticipate students will likely move through at least 2 levels in one 8 lesson
session.)
If you could let me know what level you think your child is at that will really help me organize classes by age/level so that your kids can get the most out of their lessons! Thanks
